      Pros

      Excellent benefits; really, really nice people; less political than other places i've worked; lots of vacation; extremely stable. I worked in a good department with a lot of flexibility. Lots of company sponsored lunches and events. Good mentor program.

      Cons

      Promotions seem more based on seniority than qualification, even in nonunion jobs; office is a bit stuffy. Working for a large company like this means every job is highly specialized, so the work can get boring. You have to really stand out and be proactive to get more varied work.

      Pros

      There were so many opportunities when I first started ten years ago. Benefits were good but standard. HAD a great reputation of keep good employees.

      Cons

      All that changed last year when they laid off 2% of their workforce with no prior notice. Morale has gone down. Workload has increased. Upper management is known for conducting interviews while already knowing who they're already going to hire. The do the interviews so they can appear to be fair.
