Pros
I had 2 interviews and received a fair offer for the role. I accepted and got ready to start.
Cons
Unfortunately and surprisingly, I had a bad experience working at Softcrylic that I would have never imagined and it led to me being let go after 3 days. I was hired as a Production Specialist, planning to work on Adobe Creative Campaign. I was told I would be trained and assisted even though my background is in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and not Adobe Creative Campaign. On my first day, I was told that my role had changed from a Production Specialist, a technical role, to a Campaign Manager because the previous campaign manager left after two weeks. I was surprised but excited to take on the role. On my second day, I told my supervisor, I was surprised by the role change. I said we should reconsider my compensation because of the new job. I was met with shock and surprise from the Softcrylic team. My issue was dismissed over Teams the next morning at 8:45am by my supervisor. I asked that the issue be escalated so we could still consider it. I had a meeting that day with an executive and we decided to continue on in the role with the current salary. It was a difficult but productive conversation where I felt that he heard my issue and offered options to move forward. I took the initial offer to continue as a 50/50 campaign manager/production specialist at the same pay. The next day, I had a follow-up with my supervisor, and a colleague who was training me. I was excited to get back to training after my conversation with the executive. Instead, I was accused of being a flight risk and not trustworthy. I was frustrated and offended by these accusations expressed it. The meeting was not productive, and I asked for the meeting to end because of the accusations I was receiving. Next, I received a phone call from HR notifying me I was being terminated, laid off, fired, let go, whatever you like to call it.
