Pros

I had the best time at SM&. There are so many reasons why I am thankful to have found a place like SM&. From the people to the meaningful work and the variety of high profile, impactful clients - this is a great place to work any level. The people here are truly special - they will feel more like family. The work is challenging but also rewarding. Leadership encourages growth and learning at all levels, you are encouraged to speak up and share your opinion. It is a very collaborative place where creative ideas are always welcome. Leadership will take you under their wing and teach you so much, you will be challenged and forced out of your comfort zone. You will get out what you put in at SM& - the sky is the limit. This is an amazing place to grow, to learn and to meet incredible people who will leave a lasting impact on your life.

Cons

You are thrown into the work - some people are not cut out for fast-paced agency life but if you thrive on always having a lot of (meaningful) work on your plate you will love it

Pros

I’ve worked at SM& for several years. It’s a great place to grow as a professional. The firm has an excellent reputation because of senior-level attention to clients and high standard of work product. Collegiately, it’s got a strong mix of creative, fun people who all get along with one another. Leadership does its best to give each employee a chance to explore various facets of communications. Culturally, there are a number of perks and events throughout the year that makes it a fun place to work. The office was just renovated and its location on the Greenway in Boston is a big perk. Also, AEs typically get an office

Cons

high expectations for all work - which isn't necessarily a negative if you want to grow.

Pros

Everyone is incredibly supportive and encouraging. If you have an idea -- no matter your position -- you're encouraged to pursue it. Managers give clear and constructive criticism. For co-op students, you're entrusted with a lot of responsibility. Variety of work and projects means you'll never be bored and quickly develop time management skills. Overall a great work environment -- dog friendly too!

Cons

Very high turnover means it can be difficult to forge connections, but not unusual for PR. As a co-op student, I was relatively exempt from this but there seemed to be NO work-life balance for full-time employees.
