Pros
Although working 3-12 hour shifts had it's appeals, being able to work Monday-Friday 0800-1530 is wonderful especially if you're finishing a degree online or like to go to the gym in the evenings, or just have a life on weeknights. I have off every weekend, every holiday, and I don't go in when it snows. Most schools are off in the summer, but Denise has ESY positions that cover most of the summer, so you don't have to be without work.
Cons
As a contractor you don't get benefits, but the hourly rate is so much higher than other nursing positions, it doesn't matter. Also there's no taxes taken out, but I don't see that as a con either.
