Pros

Spectrum used to be a great place to work and they used to care about their employees. For some time they had a great growth program and it did feel like a family. Now the only "pro" is that everyone else feels just as dissatisfied as you may and the unlimited PTO (which you can't take anymore because there is too much work now that they laid everyone off).

Cons

Sadly, this list is now too lengthy to include in one section. As I said, Spectrum used to thrive, but they severely miscalculated their growth, and the employees who actually do the work have suffered. There have been four rounds of layoffs and I have watched greatly competent people be given the boot. The promotion freeze has put everyone's career on hold, and the pay is not good because they can no longer afford it. Constant acquisitions leave teams reorganizing every month which in turn delivers subpar results to clients, and yet they claim they don't know why we can't get them. Senior leadership likes to say that it is on all of us to improve the culture when they're the ones who ruined it and we have to suffer the consequences. What used to be a family is now everyone feeling too burnt out to maintain relationships and everyone scrambling to just make it by. It really is sad.

Pros

While I worked there, Spectrum was a great place to work. We were fully remote, which was awesome, and still kept up with team bonding. I had decent benefits, an okay salary, and a great place to work. Most of the pros had to do with my specific team, though.

Cons

Cons: they had at least 2 rounds of layoffs which were super unprofessional in my opinion. Scheduled innocuous meeting with no intro, laid off, and once the meeting was over immediately locked out of our computers, which was a shame as we were fully remote and there was no way to say goodbye to our teammates. (Or, as a creative, to access our files in order to update our newly needed portfolio.) They laid off in-house creative after bringing on a "network" of freelancers, which is insane for an agency. Continually undercutting creatives is how we race to the bottom, which you'd think a CREATIVE agency would care about...
