Business Outlook
Pros
Robust suite of support staff. Many speech therapists, behavior intervention staff, physical/occupational therapists and behaviorists support and augment academic departments. Training is provided for new hires. I never felt as if I did not have the training or assistance to deal with any situation.
Cons
Less than 40 hours a week and high cost of living in the area in addition to no pay on breaks and holidays means that despite a decent hourly rate, actual compensation is lacking. Facility is chronically understaffed and some programs have been halted due to COVID and have not been restarted.
