Pros

I cannot think of a single positive comment.. wait. There was cake.

Cons

Pee on your own time. Take your open door policy time off the clock. Anything you can't bill to a client is time you aren't paid for. The "perks" don't overcome the constant pressure or lack of any semblance of positive reinforcement. Unless you have male anatomy. For a female run company, men are the only people who truly get ahead here. That or a woman who doesn't mind throwing everyone around you under the bus.

If you are truly a current employee, then I have one question. Why are you working at Spherexx? You realize no one is holding you hostage and the economy is great so you can find another place to work. Your point of view is not what the rest of us see or experience daily. Clearly the world can see a great dichotomy in your experience versus the good reviews on our profile page. Your post is very similar to other negative posts with “again” posting your concern about women in the workplace. We tell every employee over and over that we are a flat organization and we only have 2 leaders of the company. One is female and one is male. The rest of our management team are direct report team leaders and surprisingly everyone of them are women. Hmm, that doesn’t align with your accusation that you repeat over and over in your numerous repeated reviews on our company page. Q & A Do our clients have expectations that their projects be completed on time? Yes Do deadlines mean our employees have a responsibility to deliver their tasks on time? Yes Were you expecting to work at Spherexx (or any company) without the pressure of deadlines? Apparently Have you ever watched a documentary about a great leader and thought they probably never had any pressure or adversity or barriers to do great things? Apparently Are women in management roles at Spherexx and is ½ of the leadership of the company a woman? Yes Is the owner of the company a woman? Yes Does Spherexx provide work life balance, which means employees don’t work more than 40 hours per week? Yes Do Spherexx employees think it’s positive that their personal life is balanced against work life? Yes Does Spherexx employees think it’s positive that their employer pays all but $4.00 per day for health insurance? Yes Wouldn’t you think every Spherexx employee thinks it’s a positive to have family primary care insurance for FREE? Yes Is it a positive that Spherexx provides FREE short-term disability coverage (@ 3 years) and family accident coverage (@ 6 years)? Yes Would you say Spherexx employees appreciate celebrating paid holidays with pay and liberal vacation benefits? Yes Are there more women in direct report management than men at Spherexx? Yes Have you taken advantage of every one of these “positive” perks as an employee? Yes And yet you can’t think of anything positive except “cake?” Very disappointing to see a lack of any appreciation for the hard work everyone at Spherexx puts into providing a place for you to work. Everyone at Spherexx is carrying people like you… because you are never satisfied to do the work. You signed an offer letter when you came to work here with a detailed job description about our expectations. That job description never said we were going to let you run the company just because you were a woman and that job description never said there wouldn’t be pressure to perform. By the way, pressure to perform is a requirement for leadership.

Pros

They are very flexible and there is always someone willing to help if you need it. You get paid weekly too! You maintain a very healthy work life balance, because you literally cant access anything work related outside of the office. Also, overtime is extremely rare. In fact, overtime is limited to only 4 hours of cumulative overtime a month. In the rare cases it is needed, you are asked, not required.

Cons

You are asked to clock out to go to the restroom. Insurance is only subsidized by the company for the employee. If you have a family and want them on the insurance, you will have to pay the full premium for the other members of your family.
