Pros

all the equipment organic chemist could ask for, great location, great chemists to learn from

Cons

the company just recently was in regression, letting down a lot of chemists, interns have this sort of role to fill in the gaps, which can be a pro, just as well I always wanted to become an organic chemist, to go on PhD, after this internship I switched to IT

Pros

Good chemists with a lot of knowledge

Cons

Top management is absolutely horrible. Employees are forced to work overtime without any extra pay. Effort is never valued — the moment you make a single mistake, you’re immediately labeled as careless and uncommitted to the company. The atmosphere is toxic and depressing. Most people want to leave as soon as possible. Management constantly lies about salary increases. Instead, they hire so-called “interns,” who are given full responsibilities, no guidance, and extremely high expectations — just to underpay them. These interns handle critical projects without clients even knowing, which leads to mistakes and fuels even more toxicity. C-level executives only care about squeezing the maximum amount of work out of employees with the least possible investment, completely ignoring their wellbeing. Chemists are forced to work in labs under unbearable conditions — over 40°C in the summer, every single day for months.

Pros

-Friendly coworkers, nice central location

Cons

Management only cares about metrics and how the job can be done faster. You get yelled at for being able to meet deadlines that are impossible. No raise and no bonuses to show appreciation for the workers. “Higher ups” do not want to take ownership of any decision that makes them look bad. Constantly asked to do tasks beyond your job description for no recognition. Favoritism towards management’s favorite that always get away with doing the bare minimum work.
