Lifeguarding is one of the easiest and most fun jobs on the planet. In the event that there is an emergency, the feeling of being able to rescue someone from a near death experience is quite fulfilling.
Cons
Sometimes it was hard to work as many hours as desired. The job, although easy, can become boring on slow days. It can also be stressful if you happen to have high-strung customers and/or strict and incessantly unhappy board members.
