Pros
Some people working there are great and you'll develop good working relationships. The team is very sociable. If you enjoy the hospitality industry, it's a good way to get to know the operators within the industry. Learned a lot and helped me understand what to avoid when looking for my next job.
Cons
SquareMeal has a toxic environment, certain members of management treat you with little respect. For instance, I recall one of the upper management walking up to a low level employee and aggressively telling him "Are you making me money, or costing me money!?". Like some off-brand Scrooge McDuck. Another manager has on numerous times exhibited deplorable behaviour that would have probably gotten them fired at another company, but here it was swept under the rug. Which exemplifies a big problem within the company, the upper management feels like a bunch of 'mates' and there's an us vs them mentality. Additionally if you don't enjoy micromanagement then this places isn't for you. The pay is well below industry average, particularly given the fact that you're doing a 360 sales role. Additionally, there is little benefits. The company can exhibit strange behaviour for instance my manager withheld the fact that we could expense our work related travel. The product itself is quite hit or miss. Career development is limited.
