Pros

Unfortunately, I'm unable to conjure much in the way of anything positive about my experience with this organization.

Cons

Based on my personal experience, the working environment was unprofessional at best and often outright inhospitable. It was not uncommon to overhear conversations containing derogatory criticism about former coworkers physical appearance, eating habits or disparaging remarks about age. Confidential information was treated haphazardly; as an example, when I received my offer letter, in lieu of receiving confirmation of the previously discussed details pertaining to my employment, attached to the email was another employee's offer letter which obviously included their compensation details, date of birth, Social Security # as well as personal home address. Prior to my employment with this organization, I understand they had experienced some relatively recent upper management changes, as a result I always sensed an "us versus them" mentality among many of the employees, which frequently caused a lack of cohesive cooperation among the workforce; with outright hostility to some directives issued by upper management.

Pros

Innovative, relaxed environment, great for entry level positions to gain menial experience. People are nice, especially lower level employees.

Cons

Bare minimum is all you'll get. Staco will promise benefits to negotiate hourly rates down during hiring. Although once you are an employee ,benefits like profit shares, may OR MAY NOT be given, which was the case for the years that I worked for Staco. Every benefit is argued over and FOUGHT for. Each step is a struggle there with "HR", if thats what you want to label it, they are impossible to contact and incoherent when you finally get through. I have no clue what HR does, except belittle and ignore employees that ask questions. If you're smart and work hard, RUN!
