Pros

The employees (your colleagues) are great

Cons

- The company is no longer remote and therefore is less flexible. - Loads of benefits have been removed while pay stay the same. - Leadership is horrible. Lacks basic understanding on how to run a company, how to facilitate growth and retain employees or customers for that matter. - The entire infrastructure is a complete mess and there is no interest in fixing any of it. - Decisions are made based on gut feelings without any factual reasons to back anything up. - 0 company strategy. - Performance reviews are there but they don't mean anything. Great performance can be rewarded with a termination of contract. - Diversity is a joke. - Positions that are essential for future growth never get backfilled because leadership doesn't necessarily know what they are.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we’re sorry to hear that you didn’t fully enjoy your experience at Stream. We have introduced a hybrid work policy to make our cooperation more efficient, while remaining flexible, with employees being able to work from home two days a week and to apply for fully remote work if needed. As we’d like our offices to be a place where people want to be, this change was implemented together with improved in-office benefits, such as catered lunches, bi-weekly massages, and full commute coverage. Overall, Stream is committed to providing a competitive benefits package and to taking the best possible care of our team. Like any tech company out there, Stream has had to adjust to the market crisis, which resulted in certain limitations. That being said, we endeavor to keep our benefits competitive, including but not limited to equity, a fitness stipend, a learning and development budget, commute coverage, a pension/401K contribution, above-average paid time off, and, in the US, a very competitive healthcare package. We continuously work on improving our performance review process, and we train our managers to provide regular and transparent feedback to their team members (and vice versa). While we have room for improvement in different areas, it’s crucial for us to ensure that to ensure that feedback is communicated regularly and openly. We apologize if that was not your experience. We do our best to share all the information about key metrics, wins and losses, plans, and strategies of the company in a transparent manner throughout company-wide communication (monthly all-hands meetings, weekly team updates, quarterly goal setting, etc.). The course of action that we took has not only helped us navigate challenging market conditions but also enabled us to achieve a market-leading position and potential profitability in 2024. We're incredibly proud of our team and are committed to recognizing and celebrating their contributions to our success. Thank you for your contributions to Stream, and we wish you all the best in your current role.
