No Respect for Work-Life Balance - Property Accountant Stream Realty Partners Employee Review

Pros

Most of the employees are friendly and pleasant to work with.

Cons

Zero respect for work-life balance. Way too many accountants work too many hours. Stream shows no appreciation for the long hours worked. We are all on salary, so we don't even get extra pay. My direct supervisor is and exception to the pro I listed above. The supervisor talks down to me and is highly disrespectful and totally unprofessional. A lower-level accountant can be given properties formally handled by senior accountants and expected to do the reporting in the same amount of time. Was told when I started that taking action is not a problem; just plan ahead so that someone can cover me when gone. Later, I am told by my supervisor that I can't take any vacation that conflicts with reporting deadlines. I have deadlines on four different days each month (nine properties total), so I won't be able to take any more than a day or two off for vacation.

Pros

The support staff was excellent across the board and made a challenging environment significantly more manageable.

Cons

Leadership was more focused on their own individual success than team development. Support for junior brokers felt inconsistent and heavily dependent on whether you were part of the “inner circle.” Long hours and strong effort frequently went unrecognized, with limited mentorship, communication, or meaningful feedback from senior leadership. Employees who raised concerns about support, fairness, or professional development experienced further disengagement rather than constructive dialogue.
