Pros
- Flexible schedule & WFH - Neighborhood is full of dogs - Lovely people in the other businesses that share the building
Cons
- Pays $2/hr below Chicago minimum wage & $3/hr below what I earned for the same job at other companies - Desks too small for paperwork, laptops too weak to run Photoshop & servers constantly slow while boss spends money on art and light fixtures for the office. Cut corners on software wherever they possibly can. - Poor training in every area. Photographers don't seem to be trained. I offered to make training materials for better quality/efficiency, management would rather untrained & unqualified photo editors give performance reviews to photographers after they make mistakes. - When the work runs out, your job is over. No warning, no severance, no leads on other employment, one day they just tell you not to come back. - Owner sends insane "gratitude" emails that mostly contain bragging about how much money the company has made him
