Pros

-Fulfilling interactions with clients and ability to provide services to those affected by mental health diseases and to low income individuals. -Focus on nutrition counseling, rapport building, customizing services to client's needs, SMART goals. -Benefits that include mental health support/counseling. -Flexible/low key work space that has comfortable/non-conventional seating and 'reserve as needed' work spaces. -Ability to work independently the majority of the time and set own schedule/working hours as long as client needs are being met. -Required to attend Clinical Supervision (1hour/every 30 billable hours) with Clinical Psychologist. -Opportunity to gain extra commission pay if work more hours. -Growing Company -Friendly supervising staff

Cons

-No Registered Dietitian Manager/Supervisor/Expert on staff, leading to little support/guidance for nutrition staff. -Lots of travel - many different locations in one day (client's homes, office/clinic, virtual/remote) and varied service delivery methods (in-person, telehealth, over the phone, text). -Young company with changing policies/structure. -Every day looks different with limited consistency or schedule structure. -Required to bill long/detailed notes for all client sessions with changing guidelines/expectations. -Hard work and under compensation/low wages.

Pros

Small company with really caring leadership. Comprehensive benefits. Lots of support. Flexible schedule. Very welcoming, inclusive culture. People here genuinely care about their clients; it's not a meat grinder atmosphere. Ongoing learning is valued. Pay raises and opportunities for bonuses are good.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve to get comfortable in this job. Starting pay isn't the best. A lot of clients are in-home and require travel. It can be hard to get to know coworkers because everyone is working in different locations on different schedules. Opportunities for career advancement are rare because it's such a small company.
