Pros
It's not a bad job for retail, the stores are small and don't have a lot of merchandise. The customers are mostly tourists and are usually in a good mood when they come into the shops and don't need a lot of assistance, but like to have friendly conversation. The views are amazing from most stores and it is a beautiful place to work.
Cons
Sometimes shifts can go by really slowly. There are also occasional problems with street people who hang out on beach street and on the wharf, so it can feel a little unsafe when closing the store by yourself at night.
