Pros

Work from home Discounted products - although quality is questionable

Cons

My experience working at Sunday Riley was, frankly, disheartening. The culture was rife with toxicity, where burnout and disillusionment seemed to be the norms rather than exceptions. There has been an obvious attempt to repair the company’s reputation on Glassdoor with a wave of glowing, nearly identical 5-star reviews, often posted within a day of each other. These stand in stark contrast to the genuine one-star reviews that mirror my own experiences and reflect the unsettling reality of life within the company. Mass layoffs have swept through the organization, and former employees were required to sign agreements that prevent them from speaking openly about their time at the company. Despite the legal constraints, recent changes in labor laws suggest these types of gag clauses may no longer be enforceable. Still, many former employees hesitate to speak out, fearing repercussions. I remain anonymous in sharing my story, hoping that others may find the courage to add their voices. There was a significant gap between the company’s public messaging of empowerment and the daily experience of employees. Sunday Riley and her executive team projected a commitment to supporting women and empowering employees. In reality, I witnessed a disturbing pattern of emotional manipulation, where employees were given harsh, performance-damaging reviews that rarely reflected actual output or contributions. These reviews didn’t seem aimed at improvement but at creating an atmosphere of fear and compliance. Mental health took a massive hit for many of us. The culture was both emotionally taxing and demoralizing, like a cult atmosphere designed to undermine confidence and isolate anyone who questioned leadership. Employees were often left feeling that they had failed, despite bringing intelligence, skill, and hard work (70+ hour work weeks) to the table. Meanwhile, rather than addressing root causes of these issues, management prioritized removing negative reviews on public forums and concealing the reality of their high turnover rate. To anyone considering working at Sunday Riley, I urge you to look beyond the surface and consider the experiences of those who have come before you.

Pros

its a job that pays the bills

Cons

* the founder/owner has zero connection with the field sales team and could care less who works for her. * there is absolutely ZERO company culture. It's every man for themselves. * the policies often don't comply and violate state laws. * There is no follow-through with what's promised from corporate * complete disorganization at the top of the chain plagued and negatively impacted performance of the field employees * lacked transparency and communication from leaders. * zero opportunities for growth. * benefits were cheap and continued to decline year over year, and employees had to pay maximum out of pocket for a decent medical insurance program
