Pros

I have been employed with the company going on 2 years and have been floored with the amount of care, determination, and willingness of all managers and team members alike to support the overall goal and improve our ability to provide superior guest experience. I feel supported by the executive team, able to voice my honest opinions, and the understanding that we are here to create and increase guest experience across the board. Also, for the first time in 10 years, I have found a company that encourages you to utilize your earned vacation time and maintain a healthy work life balance. I have met great people and more importantly, a hands on owner that will actually help you grow in the company. I am able to learn from some of the best in the industry and be coached to help my understanding and knowledge that will assist me in all future endeavors. #SunlandFamily

Cons

There are challenges with growing pains, however, they are easily identified and worked through.

Pros

Gained a lot of experience and there was lots of independence

Cons

Sunland RV Resorts doesn’t value its employees and was a very unprofessional work environment. Turnover was crazy and people would get fired or demoted left and right. The CEO was constantly disrespecting and belittling the people in my department, and didn’t pay several contracts with our vendors, which I found highly unethical. The CEO doesn’t trust his employees and would never listen to experts when they brought up facts and data and micromanaged us constantly. Completely incompetent people were hired and the CEO told us they would be in charge, and then they were fired within months once he realized they were expensive and unhelpful. Any employees that liked it there probably didn’t have other options, and all the competent people left once they realized what they were getting into. There is also a feeling that women are valued less, as most of the people fired or demoted were women and almost none were men, in fact most of the men got promoted when there was an opening. If you want to be valued as a person and as professional, stay away from Sunland RV resorts.
