Pros
Free tea/boba, central location (easy to access) with free(?) parking (2 hours, but I've never seen anyone get a ticket).
Cons
The company provides a single uniform (hat, shirt and apron) that employees are required to wear on all shifts and launder on their own time (this is really uncommon in cafes). If/when an employee quits, it must be washed and returned after your last shift. If you work four days a week and don't have free laundry, you can understand how this would quickly become an issue. The management harassed multiple employees to the point of panic attacks during their shifts, explicitly told employees not to talk to each other behind the bar, and one of the employees (at all times) was required to stand by themselves in the front of the store in case the customers-- who order on screens-- had any questions. Additionally, there are no tips at a place where the cheapest drinks are $6-7. The management (from the opening of the store in April 2021) gaslit employees who had covid safety-related questions, ie "Employee: Shouldn't we wear masks indoors?" "Manager: Why would we do that?" Employees' schedules changed without clear reasoning or any notice, affecting their week's pay. The store is cashless in a hub for international tourists, which created issues and deterred customers.
