Pros

I have worked as a Substitute teacher at Excelsior since September 2017. The best thing about this school is the individual attention and instructional facilities provided to the students. Apart from that, the student teacher ratio being less, the teachers are able to focus on individual lesson plans . The administration is very supportive and accommodative to the student /teacher needs as well. My experience of working with Suprex/ Excelsior is positive and I would recommend this school to any aspiring teachers or students.

Pros

Flexible schedule, and, unlike other tutoring companies, there is a room equipped with a white board, markers, pen and paper, calculators, and all the other things you actually need to teach. Instead of always having to go to a student's house, you can use the location. The manager is great; very flexible and helpful, and the other tutor's have a wide range of experience and are willing to answer questions and help you grow your teaching skills. Most of the clients are great to work with; all of the parents are very engaged with their child's learning and happy to work with you.

Cons

Depending on where you are, it can be out of the way, but it is usually worth it. You need to have a flexible schedule if you want to get as many hours as possible- if you restrict yourself to certain times of day you'll loose out on some hours, but it's a trade off.
