Pros
Sygnum is a great workplace that offers an exceptional - though sometimes also challenging/intensive - employee experience. The company places a strong emphasis on culture, and I feel that the leadership team tries to be inclusive and seeks to foster collaboration, innovation, and respect amongst team members (they have been largely successful in that regard - it has the least politics of any other organization I've worked for to date). The supportive community and teamwork create a positive and motivating atmosphere - indeed that's one of the best aspects of working here. The other key motivation for me in staying in the firm is the unique opportunity for personal and professional growth in the regulated digital assets and crypto industry. There are few companies in the space globally with such a strong commitment to regulatory observance, and that enables me to work on interesting projects with cool clients from traditional industries who otherwise wouldn't be open to exploring the crypto space. Most of the learning takes place on the job, however, and the structured training is being rolled out only gradually - perhaps because the company is still a startup in many ways. Overall, Sygnum is quite a gem in the fintech/crypto space, offering an extraordinary workplace experience that promotes growth, balance, and fulfillment.
Cons
In the spirit of providing balanced feedback, it's worth noting a few areas where Sygnum could potentially improve: - Things move quickly in this space, so expect occasional heavy workload and tight deadlines - Cash compensation is pretty much "at market", so you really have to factor in the potential equity upside to make things interesting (works for me given my family situation, though YMMV). - Transitioning from startup to a more established firm has its share of challenges in terms of evolving governance and increasing of bureaucratic processes, can be challenging/frustrating to navigate sometimes. - Employee recognition programs could be more comprehensive. All in all, I think these cons are more that outweighed by the pros, and certainly does not overshadow the overall positive experience I've had so far.
