Pros

Some incredible engineering talent. Some interesting projects.

Cons

This is an Engineering Company but managed at a high level by people with no engineering backgrounds. When I first started, the CTO was an ex-GM Leader with an incredible background and leadership skills. After he retired its been a revolving door of lack luster Senior Management that are extremely disconnected. Fear of the CEO and his tendency to just fire management at will is a huge problem as this creates a situation where problems that need to be addressed are no communicated upwards. Add to that Engineering Senior Management that is an autocratic and meddling way too much in the weeds is actually harming innovation by dictating solutions with limited knowledge on the subject. This does nothing but drive away the best people. There is also several key people that have been 'let go' for simply questioning off the wall directives. The fact it is not known that these people are key highlights the level of disconnection.
