Pros

SynQor has some of the best designers and technolgy for power management. Started by an MIT Professor in the mid 1990's it started out focusing on DC to DC converters for telecom. Their power conversion efficiencies were dramatically higher than anyone in the marketplace. They have since expanded into AC-DC and all forms of power conversion and into all marketplaces like Medical, Industrial, Transportation and particularly Military. Everything is manufactured in-house and their manufacturing capability is outstanding. Complete component traceability has existed since the early days and every piece of equipment is networked and extensive data is collected and archived indefinitely. All testing data is similarly collected and archived.

Cons

As many others have commented, the upper management team has given preferential treatment to their family members and advancement for outsiders is restricted. The company founder bestowed co-ownership of the company to the upper management team and as such co-ownership of the profits which they have been reluctant share with anyone outside their inner circle. As has been repeatedly stated, raises are rare and salaries are significantly below industry averages. It is a great place to learn from an industry leader but eventually even the most loyal worker leave for better pay and benefits. They would be better served to spend more money paying people to stay instead of wasting it on recruiting and training new employees. The currect CEO is a capable business manager but he steamrolls over anyone who disagrees with him.
