Pros
Can't say enough positive things about SyncScript. This is honestly, the nicest group of people for whom I have worked -- ever. The hours are flexible, the pay is good, and there is nothing but positive feedback and encouragement. Anyone who hires this company to do transcription work can feel that their money is going to the right place.
Cons
Transcription subjects can be mind-numbingly dull. However, this may be just the files that I am assigned because not only am I a relatively new hire, I am also not a particularly good or fast transcriptionist. I imagine those with seniority and better skills are assigned more interesting work. However, at least at the start be prepared to listen to a focus group talk about a candy bar for two hours with the seriousness of tone one would imagine could be heard during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Similarly, it can be disheartening to listen to the CEO of a major corporation stretch thirty minutes of content into two hours of prattle because she inserts "like" and "you know" after every third word.
