Pros

-Pay is decent for work put in. -Helping and being a familiar face in the local community makes days bearable.* -Largely unsupervised -Head Crossing Guards are kind and decent folks. -Shifts are consistent so can be scheduled around easily. *Experience can differ depending on location.

Cons

-Poor management from the company makes it confusing as to whether or not we can qualify for unemployment during holiday periods. -Insistence to stand during the whole shift, discouraging sitting/leaning against walls. -Training was long and haphazardly put together save for Monique's involvement. -No coverage for commuting. -Procedure for contacting who on the support team changes frequently without notice. -$150 pay deduction for a stop sign and hi-vis vest, and further $110 deduction when returning. -"appreciation" cards, candies, giveaways that can just be turned into dollars and cents to our wages. -Pay is only decent if you can supplement it with another source of income; a little less than $1000 a month is not enough to live off of in Toronto unless you're on: disability, a student, social security, or have a 2nd job.

Cons

If you're white need not apply they will use you for a period of time and then dismiss you with that cause. They will just say we feel you aren't a good fit for the position.
