Pros
Most employees are able to work from home.
Cons
The senior leadership was attempting to sell the company to a new VC fund and decided to cut costs to make the deal look better. However, the primary cost cutting measures was to lay off good employees and replace them with off-shore resources in India. Unfortunately, senior leadership did not understand the highly specialized nature of many areas within the business and now over a year later the off-shores resources are little more than a drag on efficiency and we no longer have the good employees who once made the company appealing to clients. To make matters worse, the leadership rushed a shoddy product out the door and now we look foolish in the eyes of our clients because they purchase extremely expensive software that simply does not work as advertised. When you are the person standing in front of the client explaining to them time and time again that what they bought is not what we are delivering it starts to weigh on you. You begin to feel like a liar or a failure. Until the new product release we as consultants could always solve the problems, but that is no longer an issue.
