      Great organisation but over engineered for its size - Strategy TAL Employee Review

      Pros

      This is one of the most socially forward thinking companies - not what you'd expect from an insurer - but they genuinely care about their claimants and it shows. They take great care of their employees too.

      Cons

      Their organisational design is perplexing. So much too heavy management you'd think you are in a company with 18,000 staff not 1,800. This reflects in their operational costs and margins and creates a culture where communication is blocked between ranks.

      Pros

      TAL has been a great place that is a large company in the industry but also feels close-knit on the inside. Opportunities are given to those that seek it. People are candid and passionate about their work.

      Cons

      Like most financial companies, change can be slow but progress is always happening. Sometimes there can be a dull in communication between management and teams.

      Supports their staff - even during a lot of turmoil in the industry

      Cons

      Some parts of the business are a little siloed
