Pros

Great place to learn from knowledgeable people. Regardless of your position, if you're invested and want to learn the processes of a business, in 1-2 years you will leave with experience that can be traded in for a much higher salary elsewhere. They have a great flow in the building process so you can understand the value or reason of why you're doing what you're doing allowing you to make better decisions.

Cons

It's evident that you have individuals in the Core & Production Team that are comfortable in their positions making good money and don't want to be bothered with anything that will actually help the company survive. They sell machines on a timeline that doesn't account for all the testing and troubleshooting required because it's nothing we've ever built before resulting in the late delivery of unfinished machines littered in band-aids and design afterthoughts where we then have to send guys out to complete offsite and waste more money in the process.

Pros

TARUS is growing rapidly while constantly producing new product lines for customers and new markets around the world. It is one of the few companies in the United States that produces world-class, large-volume, high-precision 5-axis CNC machines. TARUS is vertically integrated meaning raw materials come in one end of the facility and some of the most advanced machine tools in the world exit the other end. In other words, everything is produced under one roof which provides a lot of opportunity. TARUS is a 50+ year old family owned business and a proud American success story. There's a family-oriented culture here. You have direct access to ownership at any time, they are constantly available working hands-on throughout the facility. Your career is what you make it here, they promote from within. There are numerous examples where entry level employees have moved up the ranks with increasing responsibility and many now holding senior positions. Excellent benefits, on the job training for a number of roles. Challenging, fast-paced, ever changing work.

Cons

Keeping up with incoming orders and business.
