Pros

The breadth of the membership is impressive and the contacts one makes professionally are quite strong. Shift to IoT is interesting but jury is out on ability of leadership to execute and move beyond telcos to more digital economy focus

Cons

Nepotism at the top with the founder leads to immature, incompetent leadership. Running joke among staff about the King and Prince demonstrate how this permeates the organization. Sometimes it is embarrassing with the members when you have keynotes by the Prince that are 5 years behind the times. This has alienated a large number of staff and contract workers who brought new life into the organization. Sloppy execution of IoT programs and lack of understanding of dynamics in the market make unrealistic assumptions about how catalyst and projects can actually have an impact.

Pros

Abundance of hardworking and caring people at the mid-level manager position on down.

Cons

No value placed on employee loyalty; consitently looses their best talent. Sub-market level salaries that were once offset by great benefits. Always hiring blue sky thinkers who contribute little to nothing without consideration of the "grunts" who do all the work and keep the machine running. High turnover among staff. Overly bloated HR department of 10 people for a company with 150 employees. CEO who thinks he's King Charles. Rampant signs of waste, fraud and abuse. Increasingly toxic culture.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for recognising the dedication and commitment of many of our colleagues. We are disappointed to read this characterisation of TM Forum. While we recognise that not every employee’s experience will be the same, we do not believe this review reflects the experience of the majority of our people or the culture we strive to create. We take feedback seriously and continuously review our employee experience, reward offering, organisational structure and ways of working to ensure we remain an engaging and supportive place to work. Like many organisations, we make difficult business decisions from time to time, but we do so with careful consideration and respect for those affected. The claims made regarding our leadership, people practices and organisational culture are not consistent with the values, behaviours and standards we expect across the organisation. We are committed to fostering a workplace built on respect, accountability, inclusion and collaboration, and we encourage colleagues to raise concerns through the appropriate channels so they can be properly reviewed and addressed. We appreciate all feedback that helps us improve and wish you success in your future endeavours.
