Pros

The 4 day week .. Although you are still expected to work on the 4th day otherwise you can’t hit the huge call stats targets.

Cons

Not sure where to start, worst place I have ever worked, please don’t give up a job to start here it will affect your mental health and you will instantly regret it. Lots of favouritism, contract written with everything as discretionary but what it actually means is that flexible working, working from home and sick pay is decided on whether you’re favoured by the MD. Office is run like a call centre where call stats are the main focus with half hourly prompts, no time to focus on customer or candidate care. Weekly call stats meetings where no matter how much you have done they never celebrate the good just pick holes in everything you do and make it negative. Negative atmosphere with everyone on edge, MD’s mood swings make for very stressful and unnerving environment. High staff turnover with less than 30% retention in a year, with people leaving and people being let go with no real justification. Pushed to the limit by Directors who remind you daily you aren’t doing enough. No structure, constant moving goalposts. Frowned upon if you take a lunch break. Don’t be enticed by the 4 day week, if you suggest you struggle with it their answer is just work 5 days again.

TN Recruits Response

Thank you very much for your feedback. The review has raised eyebrows from your former colleagues and friends. Interestingly Q2 has been the most successful in the history of TN Recruits and the team are extremely happy and proud of their achievements, creating a very happy and positive atmosphere. In response to your comments; Our contracts are sent in advance of the commencement of employment, thus giving employees a chance to consider the terms before they join. We do indeed operate with a 4-day week and a hybrid working model which gives everyone the chance to work one of their working days from home. If we have team members who have genuine personal problems we do tend to offer additional flexibility, we don’t publicise confidential information amongst the team, I guess for some this could result in feeling hard done by. At the beginning of the year, we worked with everyone to discuss what they wanted to achieve in 2024. As a result, we were then able to work with previous data and calculate activity levels required to help them achieve their goals. If the call targets are high, they are simply reflective of what people want to achieve. Interestingly, the more calls we make, the better the service we are delivering to 1. Our clients to help them find candidates to grow their business and 2. Our candidates to help them secure roles and progress their careers, after all these are the two key reasons for being of a recruitment consultancy. As for 30 minute prompts, these are often upon request from the team but are typically every couple of hours which help our high performers stay on track to achieve their goals. We are confused by the turnover calculation. We work in a sales environment which typically leads to a level of turnover. For the record, from our current team; 13 out of 16 have been with us for over a year, including 11 who have been here over two years and six who have been here for five years plus, the facts speak for themselves that this would not be considered high staff turnover. The purpose of meeting everyone weekly is to praise what has gone well and to give everyone an opportunity to share any challenges they are facing in inside and outside of work. It tends to work well, and we haven’t had previous complaints about a lack of praise but will take your comment on board. Lunch being frowned upon and the suggested solution to struggling with 4-day week, work 5, are all news to us. Again, we thank you for sharing your opinions. We wish you well in your career.

Pros

I joined the company in February 2024 after two years in estate agency, and it’s been an incredible experience. TN Recruits stands out for its earning potential, strong support network, and fantastic team environment. From day one, I felt genuinely welcomed thanks to the positive atmosphere, where everyone motivates each other to achieve their best. I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone I speak to and am excited about the future I’m building here. 4 day working week is a huge benefit as a company. This allows me to get back into football and achieve goals outside of work.

Cons

I haven't seen a downside to the company since joining!
