Pros

Laid back atmosphere.  You get your own office, which seems cool  (until you realize it's frown upon  to leave that office to say Hi to a coworker) so it becomes your "prison cell".  pick your own time schedule and they are pretty flexible if you want to change it (not for a day, but a long term change).   You get to travel occasionally to meet clients, if Bill or Sales doesn't want to go. There are occasional company events which can be pretty fun!

Cons

You will get zero real training.  Here's the product, here is the manual, learn it, see you in a few weeks to see what you learned.   ZERO real employee appreciation. You are there to work work work, don't smile, don't chat.  You are "salary" but what this means is they will watch your every move to make sure you are in your office 8 hours a day, everyday -- AS A MINIMUM .   They want you there early and leaving late.   If you travel or have to work OT, tough cookie, you will NOT be allowed to make those hours up.  If you have an appointment or need to leave early, jury duty, family emergency, any minute before your shift ends, you will lose PTO.  Doesn't matter than you worked or traveled 13 hours the day before! If your flight lands at 3am, you better get ur rear to work at ur scheduled start time the next day.  The "managers" will be sure to tell you they don't agree with it, but hey that's how the owner likes it.   If the owner says or does something to offend you, well you are out of luck there, because your manager will roll his eyes and say "sorry, that's how he is"    The owner is biggest misogynist I have ever met.  He watches inappropriate things in his office and says even more inappropriate things to his employees and thinks he is funny. The office culture is tense and on edge.  Security cameras everywhere, office doors HAVE to stay open, and even though it makes no sense to your comfort level, monitors HAVE to face the doorway so when they walk by your office 20 times a day they can see when you are doing.  OH and when they tell you when you negotiate the ridiculous salary they will offer you, they will justify it by saying there are year end bonuses.  BUT BEWARE, the 2015 bonus was not given and employees were told "its nothing you did, it was our fault, sorry" and now in 2016 it wont happen either.  When I left, there was a ridiculous goal set and it will not be met since they cannot keep a sales team there.   4 months with no sales department = the already impossible goal not being met.   You can forget getting bonuses on merit either.  Why have a bonus based on SALES when you only have 1 employee in sales.  And when your sales force is gone, you have your Account Managers do their job AND sale's job.  That should be worth something!  What does tech support have to do with sales?! They will also tell you there is no where to go at this company, they hope you gain experience and move on to better things.  And lastly, if the ILLEGAL working conditions and pay structure are too much and you feel the need to do something about it, just know the owner has been quoted MANY times saying, "If someone wants to sue me have at it, they will run out of money long before I do"

Pros

Get to work with some of the biggest names in business all over the world. Small staff has a family feel environment. Very laid back dress code. You get your own office and there isn't a corporate ladder to compete for a spot at the top. As you improve and impress you are given promotions to grow in your role and grow your value instead of moving up a chain. Everyone works together great. Management is really improving on employee recognition and allowing employees to take ownership of their role and their place in the company's success.

Cons

When I started the structure left much to be desired, and while we are still working on improving managment's involvement with the staff, they have come a long way! I would say the only current con is the typical growing pains of the company and although you are salary, the schedule structure is very much like hourly in regards to your shift and PTO. Also the pay is monthly so that can be tough

Pros

If you try to learn as much as you can, this company can be a great stepping stone to another job. - Small office, less than 20 people. This can be good and bad, but it worked for me because I was able to take on more projects and learn more. - Everyone gets their own office to shut the door - no cubes. - You get to work with some big companies and get experience on the phone with renewals, new sales, cold calling, etc.

Cons

- Lots of micromanagement. Boss will walk up and down the hall to peek in on you. - Taking time off is looked down upon in a big way. You'll only get 10 vacation days and 5 days of "discretionary time," which you must take for doctor's appointments, funerals, sick days, etc. It's very minimal. - The pay is extremely low for the role and the average in Dallas. - There is a culture of "if it's not broken, don't fix it." Lack of innovation left me feeling numb and like I was just going through the motions many days. - No formal HR department or rep.
