Pros

When I started working for this company, it seemed fine and colleagues were kind and helpful until some bad guy got into this company.

Cons

The pay and benefit is not better than other consuling company, no sick leave. Please don't believe what they described how good it is to work for them on the job posting at website. Once you have some disagreement with so called manager, they would find reason to fire or layoff you. They would like a gospel guy because he is very good flattering guy, nobody stop him even he spreaded bad word at back of you. Get rid off and keep away, no worth to work for them.

Pros

The people were good to work with and this company was certainly well suited to a lot of people there. Reasonably structured for a small company. They were fairly busy and got in a variety of projects. Free parking. Well developed CAD system. Health/dental benefits.

Cons

They were tenacious with hiring staff but seemed to be quite content with the high staff turnover. Their HR policies are horribly outdated, this is just not the place to work if you’re a two income family with kids. Like every other engineering firm, we are expected to put in evenings and weekends to get projects done which is the nature of the business but don’t count on flexibility to take time off when needed even after say working all weekend. If you’re still looking to join, make sure you’re allowed to bank time and use it, and remember to fill the absence request form for every little thing. There is no sick time, instead you’ll either be using banked time or filing an EI short term disability claim. That’s really not fair to every firm out there that has a sick leave policy for their staff. As a result, people came to work dog sick because it was a matter of work or don’t get paid. While they were eager to incorporate new design technologies, there was just very little support to actually deploy that tech. CAD did not happen overnight. Last but not least, were they ever stingy on things from office supplies to cleaning products. On a personal level, the senior staff are great people, but the corporate culture was toxic with a general sense of retaining terrible policies just because everyone who’s worked there have had to deal with it. The only thing that kept me going to work were fellow staff and the projects.
