I got very lucky with my office! Being a scheduler means you have more of a buffet than a plate's worth of work, but it's very rewarding. You meet a lot of people, and if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, you'll love working session. It's a very exciting job!

I'd say the only "con" is that during the session, be prepared to work some 15-hour days, possibly more. There can be some very late nights, but it truly isn't all that bad when you love what you do.
