I'm sorry you had such a negative experience with us. Because we are a sales company, we pay for performance. If people perform well, they will get paid well, if people don't perform, then they don't get those bonuses. Some people aren't cut out for a sales outfit in a fast-paced environment, where everyone is held accountable to do their part. We hire people based on their narrative of their abilities, and when it turns out they can't fill the role, people on both sides can feel bad about that. When employees need extra training and coaching, it might feel like micromanaging. But we have a duty to try to make every employee successful, and sometimes that takes a lot of temperature checks and evaluations.

Pros

Company creates opportunities for hard working talented professionals who want to be judged on performance. CEO has legacy of training and promoting some of the industry's leadership.

Cons

Not a good place to work for the lazy and people who during the interview process lied about qualifications. The company is performance based and rewards the best and gets rid of the posers.

Pros

Office is located in a great building. They paid for parking. Provided coffee and bottled water.

Cons

Projects sprung on you with urgency on a daily basis (it seemed like a setup for you not to meet your goals so you don’t get your commissions). Commissions are only paid if the boss is ‘having a good week’. No room for advancement or greater opportunity. (No one has even stayed long enough to actually grow.) If you don’t work overtime (for free) you’re hardly working. Hours were 7-4, but you’re expected to stay until 7 even if your projects were done at 4. Barry is extremely power hungry with a childlike mind and teenage attitude.

Our hours for most full-time, non-exempt employees are 7am to 4pm. Executives and Directors who are exempt are sometimes expected to, and do work later. However, most employees are out the door by 4:30pm most days. We are a fast-paced sales organization, and some people can't get on board with that. And it's okay; it's just not a good fit for everyone. We are a group who likes to roll our sleeves up, and get as much done as we can every day. Our clients count on us and deserve that. As in every company, sometimes employees don't get the job done, or aren't doing their job well. We always coach them through it. It's true, some employees can't turn it around and are let go or leave on their own, but they are never caught by surprise if they are let go due to lack of performance. Barry does not speak negatively about clients, that just isn't true. Every company is bound to have challenges with clients, but Barry is the first one to correct an employee if they go down the path of bad mouthing a client or partner. The clients are whom we ultimately have to answer, and we remind ourselves of that every day.
