Pros

Very good company, treat very well their employee and the management is most likely the best and most human management I've had in my career. I've left at the time Scopely bought it so I don't know if it had an impact on it.

Cons

Project are not really the most interesting, especially due to being paired to Scopely.

Pros

Tag games has a really great working environment and has very close-knit teams. There is a good variety in the projects we work on thanks to a mix of own IP and work for hire which means there is a lot of opportunity to learn new skills and try out new things, which is definitely encouraged. Having done so myself I feel there are good progression opportunities at Tag as long as you are willing to push for it and put in a bit of extra effort. The company is actually very stable due to Paul (the CEO) being quite risk averse in his business strategy, this is probably one of the biggest plus points about Tag in that it has great job security unlike most companies in the games industry. I think another important point is that Paul goes out of his way to keep the team up to date with the business side of things which isn’t something I’ve seen with other companies. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed my time at Tag and have seen a lot of improvements since I joined over a year ago.

Cons

The only negative I can really say is that sometimes the risk averse mentality can feel a bit restrictive at times, however this obviously results in extra job security so it’s hard to argue with.
