Working at Tail has been a genuinely positive experience. The mission is clear and meaningful, and it actually shows up in day to day decisions rather than just living on a slide deck. People here care about doing good work and doing it the right way, especially when it comes to customers. The team is smart, kind, and very collaborative. There’s a lot of trust given, and you’re encouraged to take ownership rather than wait for permission. Leadership is accessible and open to feedback, which makes it easier to raise concerns or suggest improvements. Remote work is well supported, and there’s flexibility in how you manage your time as long as you’re accountable. I’ve learned a lot quickly and had exposure to areas of the business I wouldn’t normally get in a more rigid or hierarchical company.

Like most growing companies, things move fast and priorities can shift. That can sometimes feel overwhelming if you prefer a very structured environment. Processes are still evolving, so you need to be comfortable with a bit of ambiguity and figuring things out as you go. Because the team is lean, workloads can spike during busy periods, and it’s not always possible to do everything perfectly.
