Pros

Tangible was a great decision in terms of learning the ropes. You are put into the thick of work rather quickly and are exposed to a lot very fast. The clients are amazing and often the best part of the job. Teams work decently in a cohesive manner to present campaigns and reporting. C-suite is a group of well seasoned people who know the vertical inside and out. They genuinely care about employees if you make an effort to get to know them. A lot of it is about what you put in. Since you are exposed to a fair amount very quickly and the teams on projects are small - you get direct speaking time with clients earlier in your career which is great experience.

Cons

Managers tended to take credit for your work even if nothing in your proposals were changed. A bit micromanaged. Work/life balance had some imbalance at times and this could stem from better prioritization of projects and set-expectations for clients. Upward mobility tends to be extremely limited. Pay is equivalent to the role - but not for a NYC living situation.

Pros

Snack bar Kind people Video game accounts are cool Located in midtown Work life balance is okay depending on job title and account

Cons

Micromanaging, reports have to be checked 3 times before they are sent out by managers, ADs and directors. It’s bureaucracy at its finest also it’s incredibly inefficient. Workload isn’t balanced between teams. Most accounts are DR focused so offline and display get pushed to the back burner. Social and search are prioritized. Assistant spend 2-3 years at the same level. Industry average is 8-10 months. People are hired under false pretenses and find out later that their job titles or accounts were misrepresented. Clients are allowed to do whatever they want cause the agency is too small to fight for what’s right Media wise. Workload is seriously unbalanced between teams. Upper management doesn’t listen to the concerns of junior members of the team it’s the same complaints for years but nothing has been done. Also the kitchen is right near to the bathroom so there’s that.
