Pros

Flexible WFH Friday Happy Hours Generous PTO

Cons

I felt taken advantage of as an employee of Tank Utility. Through COVID layoffs, the company was downsized significantly, but the work to be completed remained the same. It was difficult to see what was left of our teams trying to accomplish the work of a whole, 50-something person team. What I see is a company that will do whatever it needs to do to their employees to get ahead. Then, have roundtables about how to boost morale and work/life balance without effectively addressing the main issue. Sales team members were expected to keep upselling to customers who already had product issues that were unresolved. This was difficult to do and frankly embarrassing. When this company was last growing in size, the culture here was positive and a something people felt good about. What has followed was an unspoken negative air of stress and exhaustion, painted by the executive team to be excellent trend line of growth for the company. I am not sure how my coworkers felt, but towards the end of my time here, my morale had hit an all-time low. I would not recommend this work environment as a place to work.

Pros

Paid from when you walk out of your house until you walk back in and they pay mileage. Flexible Hours Holidays off weekends off customer support is decent

Cons

Gas prices have risen but the mileage amount has not. Would like to see a bump in that to help offset the costs. no paid holidays. Self employed with 1099...not really a con but still kinda hurts.

Pros

- There's a ton of opportunity to take ownership and own your projects in your discipline and job. Management trusts people to run with their roles. - It's a great group of talented and most importantly, nice people. No jerks here! - Vision and direction are clear and transparent. Management is very transparent about company strategy, goals and challenges and expect honest conversations across all teams. This means tackling problems and sharing successes as a team. - Good market opportunity in an industry that needs better technology and interested in what we're selling. - Flexible work from home policy and schedule. I coach in the Winter and I've had no problem adjusting my schedule to accommodate this. As long as you get your work done, your schedule is up to you. - Location is two blocks from Downtown Crossing. It's a quick commute on the Red Line.

Cons

- Fast paced work environment isn't for everyone. With a small team, you'll be working on a lot of projects and be asked to work quickly. This can be overwhelming at times but team will help when needed. - Start-up problems. Like any growing startup, there can be fires that need to be put out quickly and long nights at times. It's the nature of a growing business and is not a con as much as a tolerance someone needs to work at a start-up
