Pros

Good people to suffer with

Cons

In my opinion this is a company that capitalized on the pandemic and those in need of a job. Preying on the individuals who simply needed to make a living and working them to the maximum of their capacity with very little pay. They have a knack for attracting highly skilled employees at $20 dollars an hour with the hopes you would perform above and beyond. Without a HR department, everything is ran through the 2 owners of the company. Highly disorganized, they sell this well put together organization but lack very little business knowledge and state labor laws. Reviews are skewed on the website. I saw that the scheme was to get as much money from the customer with very little done on our part. I found myself stressed and overwhelmed on a daily basis but the leadership was highly skilled in manipulating and making individuals feel as though they cared only to pocket as much profit as possible. I watched their sales over sell kits for events from what seemed to be a family home of a family of five ( children included) to prepare overpriced kits ($35 for a hot chocolate packet and candy cane). When unable to deliver thousands of kits. We were asked to draft emails blaming the pandemic because they were asked to discontinue working from a Airbnb owner they rented from when the family had to stop working from home, saying their "distribution center was shut down due to the pandemic". There was no stipend for internet though you continuously worked on it nor did I receive any office equipment. Pay was delayed because they simply didn't get it in by the deadline despite having a 1.6 million dollar revenue. My time came to an end with a resignation that did not get acknowledged for days and was asked to become a contractor which I agreed to until the next day I found my account were deactivated without a word from anyone from the Company. I can only assume this was a manipulation to avoid paying unemployment. I later learned over 50 other employees woke to less communication than me and simply had a emoji message sent and deactivated accounts.

Thanks for your feedback. There is no scheme at TeamBuilding. Our hosts and team put a lot of love and work into making sure that every client experience is world class. We did hire you during a very busy time, and before starting you said you were excited for that challenge. It's okay that it wasn't a fit for you, but your comments here about manipulation are surprising. In addition, we do have high expectations and do our best to compensate accurately for this. Your pay was $20 per hour for an entry level role, and you also earned gratuity, bonuses, and benefits. Generally, our people are happy with their pay, and we regularly review compensation to stay up to date. For example, you are correct that we did not have an internet stipend benefit. Our team requested this benefit and we've added a $50 per month stipend for full-time employees to cover those costs. For your other points: You were never paid late. You did receive a $100 per day bonus for extra time worked, which was paid separate from your regular paycheck. This bonus was in addition to overtime pay, which was part of the regular pay cycle. There are no children working for us. As you know, one of our longtime team members suggested employing her extended family as they needed work during the pandemic. The "children" are 18+ years old. The 50 employees you mentioned were seasonal hires. We were clear with communication at hiring and throughout their employment that it was a temporary role and would end. Finally, we would never intentionally manipulate the unemployment process. If you were not eligible for unemployment, it is likely because you resigned and left the country. Employee experiences are important to us, and we are constantly working to improve. Job applicant experiences are important too. Pros

This is an enjoyable and rewarding job with a fantastic team of coworkers. The work environment is positive and collaborative, making each day both engaging and fulfilling. Management is highly transparent about company developments, ensuring that employees are well-informed and included in the organization's direction. Additionally, my immediate manager is supportive and approachable, consistently making me feel valued and heard.

Cons

The only con is that it's part time work and not full time.

Pros

My coworkers have been great to work with. A lot of them are incredibly talented and hardworking, and I was able to learn a lot from them. It is just a shame that their skills are being wasted on a company that shows almost no regard for them.

Cons

- The biggest problem with this company is the managers. - Leadership is extremely poor and completely self focused. - Constant unreasonable demands with no regard for employees. - Absolutely zero respect shown to the people doing the work.

Hello, I read every Glassdoor review to see if there’s something we can learn from it. In this case, the feedback is so generic that it’s difficult to understand what specific experiences you’re referring to. We’re a relatively small company, and the culture described here is not one I recognize. Our managers are kind, empathetic, thoughtful people who treat everyone with respect. We of course have job requirements, but we don’t make demands, unreasonable or otherwise. No company is perfect, and we’re always looking for ways to improve, but I don’t believe this review gives prospective employees an accurate picture of what it’s like to work here. — Michael
