We’re very happy to hear that you had a great experience with your team members. We’re lucky to be surrounded by dynamic, creative, and hard-working individuals. It’s what helps make the job and coming to work, that much more enjoyable. Thank you also for mentioning compensation and benefits, as these are always important elements to consider.
We understand that at times, there are extra overtime hours that go into the week. We’re sure you’ll agree, this typically occurs around GO-Live implementation dates. During these last stretches of 6, 12, or 18-month projects, we want to ensure that everything runs smoothly for our clients. Reviewing final details, addressing last minute bumps and surprises; all these need to be managed and promptly addressed to progress and stay the course of our implementations. Precisely when these extra hours are needed to make the Go-Live happen.
We are saddened to read that you feel you had no personal life. We do value, and continually stress and promote, the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance. The Wellness Program, virtual yoga and boot-camp sessions and wellness seminars focusing on stress management, the science of happiness and sleeping habits, are all initiatives currently in place. In case folks need additional help and resources, we have a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program and access to EQ Care. All that to say that we try and ensure that tools are available to all our employees to help them maintain a healthy work-life balance. In the end, while Tecsys has part of the responsibility to ensure and promote work/life balance, our employees also have the responsibility to flag and address issues with their manager should they experience any sort of imbalance. Hopefully you have the opportunity to do this.
