Pros

You gain experience working with high-profile clients. Opportunity to try different roles and figure out what you like best. Great teamwork atmosphere. Great place to gain experience and learn link building/removal and Google Analtyics from true experts in their respective fields. Occassional BBQs. Beautiful lakefront and beach location. Casual attire in the office. Everyone is young (or young at heart) and gets along really well. Days spent working hard, but there was always lots of laughing and joking (jokes weren't always funny, though) . Working at Teknicks has provided me with some great friendships. My former AD is the best work partner I will ever have in my career- we could finish eachother's sentences and worked so well together.

Cons

No formal HR department or senior leadership to offer training or guidance. Within your position, a job description was ever assigned, so you never clearly know your responsibilities and what's expected of you. You are required to check and answer emails after hours from your personal cell phone. Lots of employee turnover since June 2013-March 2014. More employees at Teknicks prefer the show Friends than Seinfeld ;) (this can be a pro or con depending how you look at it).

Pros

Very experienced team. Every conversation I felt like I was leveling up. Leadership is hands on and happy to share their knowledge

Cons

Fully remote. They had a great office by the beach ⛱.

Pros

Hands down the most knowledgeable SEO team out there. I had a ton of experience coming into the company and I honestly felt like they taught me so much more. Very entrepreneurial group and although I moved on I would recommend them in a heartbeat and they will be the first agency I call if I go client side. Employees were awesome and very easy to work with.

Cons

I came from a large agency with hundreds of employees in my location and thousands internationally. I was not used to that smaller environment. It was a con for me but it's not a reflection of the company or employees. I also felt like they gave so much effort to the clients and didn't charge enough. While that is great for clients it was a lot for me. They would do 2-3 months of work in 1 month. Seemed like it was fine for everyone else but it was too much for me.
