Pros

Two things I noticed when I started working here. The first was that everyone really knew their stuff. The analysts at TeleGeography are incredibly smart and seem genuinely dedicated to producing top-notch research. Many of them have been with the company for decades. The second thing I noticed was that everyone in the DC office would pause for lunch and eat together in the large conference room. It's not so much that there was pressure to join as much as the team was mindful about taking a break and encouraging others to do the same. Those lunch breaks have become great opportunities to get to know my coworkers, chat about what we're all working on, and create a more balanced day. TeleGeography has always been known for having a winning culture. It's stuff like this that makes people want to stick around.

Cons

The company is definitely growing, and sometimes you feel those growing pains. In practice, this means it's generally a busy workplace with many new projects and opportunities, but it's not uncommon to uncover a need or a challenge that a much larger company might already have staff dedicated to, whereas TG has to do a little more troubleshooting. Luckily, everyone seems to be pretty reasonable about finding solutions and figuring out how to work smarter. But sometimes things come up that seem simple, but take a few extra colleagues to sort out. There are a few folks that wear a lot of hats, etc.
