Pros

TellApart is a small, agile company where individuals are empowered to make data-driven decisions. The culture is one of transparency and shipping products, where process is added only when useful. Across the board, TellApart is composed of high-performing individuals. I've never seen a company come anywhere close to TellApart in terms of how consistent each employee is in terms of strength, intelligence and aptitude. TellApart employees focus their strengths on growing the company as a team and delivering great products. TellApart's revenue and market presence is continuing to go up and to the right.

Cons

With great power comes great responsibility. TellApart is a great fit for strong contributors, but is not a good place for people that aren't team players or that want to get lost in the shadows and coast.

Pros

Very high quality engineering team. World class execs who have been around the block with a great founder/CEO at the helm. Execs also handle difficult situations with great integrity. VP of Eng Wade Chambers is great at developing engineers and engineering leaders. Company on path to becoming big, but has potential to be worth multiple billions. It's exciting to be part of small team that has generated massive amounts of value for customers, and can shape the path of this company's future - whether we're $XXXM or $XB or $XXB.

Cons

Small team means each engineer owns significant chunk of the system so it can be high pressure sometimes especially when things don't work, or when it's crunch time (i.e. holiday season). Carrying pager is not very fun, altho the team tries hard to make sure bad pager rotations are exception not norm. Commuting from SF takes 20 - 40 min depending on traffic. Mean prob around 27 min. If you live near Caltrain you can use the company's free Caltrain passes.
