Pros

There are a few brilliant, progressive minds who shine and inspire. Chaos can be exciting at times. Pay and benefits are okay for the industry. Work / Life balance can be good if expectations are set up front.

Cons

Chaos isn't exciting the vast majority of the time, it's just chaotic and often toxic. There is constant infighting and battling between egos. Companies aren't families, especially and ironically when leadership is almost entirely comprised of literal family members. Career growth and mobility has almost nothing to do with job performance or qualifications. Narrative is not business strategy, and progress is impossible without change. The client base is limited and most sources of revenue are incredibly at risk. The pros are far outweighed and outnumbered by the cons.

Pros

The projects are pretty fun and you get to work on some really cool IP with industry-leading titles and software. The team is super competent and worth their salt. I found myself learning a lot from the FTEs. The pay is really fair and competitive for the market rate due to the clients they work with.

Cons

Clients can be difficult to work with as there are many layers of red tape that have to be cut through and sometimes multi-international timezones for feedback. When the workload is good, it can be almost dizzying the amount of pieces need to be output and revised. File management is OK but could be improved upon a bit (OneDrive can be a headache). Workload can go from 100-0 almost overnight depending on the time of year and client budget.
