Pros

- Dog comes into the office

Cons

- Overbearing owner with no understanding of the jobs his employees do for him - Sexist and racist behavior on the regular -Owner uses the word ‘retarded’ to describe his own employees frequently - ILLEGALLY asked prospective employees about their mental health histories and wouldn’t hire based on possible depression, etc. - Owner talked crap about employees to manager regularly, within earshot of the entire design team - .25¢ raise every quarter if you were perfect during that time and weren’t written up for absolutely ridiculous accusations - Was called ‘unapproachable’ for keeping my eyes on my work and not always making eye contact when spoken to, owner requires a lot of rear-kissing and respect for someone with no respect for others whatsoever - Owner once refused the close the business during a bomb cyclone because he was on a beach and didn’t believe it was as bad as we were saying. Owner then closed the following day without notifying employees so everyone risked their lives to drive to work to find it closed. - Owner frequently goes on ‘working vacations’ to islands and beaches while making demands on the phone and e-mail to his employees - Years later I am still working through the trauma of working under Kyle Ewing. It has taken a very good boss to undo what Kyle has done to my confidence, psyche, and mental well-being. I wouldn’t recommend anyone work with Kyle ever again, especially after the sexual harassment allegations against him in recent years.

Pros

The work itself is hands-on and interesting and the training is solid, so even if you don’t have a ton of experience, they'd make sure you’re set up to succeed. They also provide great benefits, including free life insurance, which is a nice bonus I don’t see everywhere. One of the things I appreciate is that they encourage growth. It’s not just lip service; they genuinely support us in moving up and learning new skills. If you’re willing to do good work and show initiative, they notice and reward it. The team here is awesome too. everyone supports each other, and there's a real sense of camaraderie. Overall, TerraSlate is a company that values hard work, respects its employees, and offers solid benefits. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fulfilling production role where you’re treated with respect and have room to grow.

Cons

Traffic near my place is slow, but nothing I can do about that

Pros

This workplace offers engaging work and solid training, with genuine investment in employee development through funded certifications and classes. Employee focused activities such as games or barbecues.

Cons

Executives and managers are consistently unprepared for busy season, leading to significant preventable stress. The C-Suite culture is intolerant of criticism, often resulting in terminations for expressing dissatisfaction. This has lead to a pattern of high leadership turnover and eroded morale. Raises occasionally follow the departure of key, respected employees, but feel more reactive than strategic. The offered upskilling, while paid for, often feels misaligned with practical needs or career advancement. A place of potential undermined by instability and poor planning. Founder appears to be close with or had engagements with Richard Branson. The following is an actual quote from the founder’s public Instagram page, “ When the noise gets loud, including the Epstein headlines, keep focusing on the signal of someone's character, and pray you're not backing the wrong horse.”
