Pros

At its roots, ThankView was innovative, compassionate, fun, and supportive. I never once doubted that I had the flexibility to be present for my family and to live the life I wanted to live. I was compensated fairly and given benefits / perks that far exceeded those offered by competitors. The level of support and investment in my professional and personal life was such a comfort and encouragement. I felt like we were a true team.

Cons

After the merger and acquisition, a company I once regarded as a team became corporate. I felt unknown and unseen, and there was a consistent pattern of over-promise and under-deliever. There are naturally going to be growing pains with an M&A, but things were not improving and people were becoming discouraged and frustrated. Those of us who knew and loved the old ThankView longed for the "good ole days", and I ultimately couldn't get behind the new vision and the methods employed to see it through.

Pros

ThankView's top three strengths are flexibility, compassion, and creativity. I was among the first employees to be offered a remote position to accommodate my need to stay in Ohio. The company's flexibility to allow me to work from home in a pre-covid world was so gracious and, honestly, unexpected. Additionally, within less than a year of hire, I lost my mom to breast cancer was given indefinite bereavement leave and the ability to be OOO suddenly. While I only took two weeks off for this family emergency, I felt safe to request more if needed. And the compassion and support I received in the following months was overwhelming. Grief takes a very emotional and physical toll on a person, and everyone was so understanding when I needed to take random half-days off or cancel a meeting at the last minute. But at the heart of these things lies creativity. Each member of the team has a genuine eagerness for developing new ideas, new strategies, new perks, new processes...anything that propels the company and the individuals within forward. When I tell my friends and family about ThankView, their jaw nearly hits the floor because these kinds of workplaces are few and far between. It is an honor to work for ThankView and develop both professionally and personally.

Cons

All start-ups are prone to frequent change. Since being hired in 2019, I have held three job titles and have reported to three different manager. The ability to adapt to an ever-growing, fast-paced environment is an absolute necessity in order to thrive.
