Pros

The business is in a good niche. Working here is better than unemployment. After this job, you might be able to earn a livable wage somewhere else. Leadership is accessible.

Cons

Compensation is very, very low (in the $30,000s). Benefits are expensive and worse than marketplace plans - I paid $300 / month and my insurance didn't cover anything. They offer only 7 days of PTO a year and you must request it a month in advance. That isn't a typo; 7 days of PTO, requested with 30 days notice. Leadership is oblivious to the problem with that policy. Work life balance is nonexistent. Writers are expected to work weekends, evenings, and while sick when there is a deadline. Project managers blame their mistakes on writers. They don't offer raises in step with inflation. Promotions are nonexistent. You've been warned.

Pros

Everyone at the company is great, probably the best coworkers and leadership I've had in my career. It's also definitely a place where if you work hard and do your job well you are rewarded.

Cons

The health insurance has pretty high employee cost but that's really the standard if you aren't working at a big corporation.

Pros

- Very friendly people - Remote work - If you have zero experience on your resume and really need a job + experience this is an ok option

Cons

- You will not make good money at this company, They pay 18/hr (on salary) and that is the pay for (most) employees regardless of the position - You MUST start on a 1099 for the first 3 months - you won't become salaried until the 90 day mark - There isn't very much growth opportunity, nor is the company willing to give you a raise. If you want a raise, expect many additional tasks to be put on your plate, as well as a very close eye kept on you. - They will fire employees who want more money. We had a great employee on the team who really cared about his work, and went above and beyond. They refused to give this individual a promotion then said "he left before he got fired"
