Pros

The opportunity to work for former VP Al Gore on one of the most important issues of our time. Excellent pay (especially if you are coming from the advertising world and have no experience in the nonprofit sector).

Cons

TCRP has incredibly high turnover--6 of 7 senior staff members have left within the last 16 months, and at least 50% of staff have left within last 12 months. An incredibly high budget with almost zero impact. Some of the organization's signature programs were multi-million dollar fiascos that carried no benefit in terms of policy change or public opinion. A complete lack of strategic vision, financial transparency, or accountability. One of the most disorganized companies I have ever worked for.

Pros

I loved working at the climate reality project, everyone was so supportive and allowed me to contribute to some really high level work even as an intern!

Cons

As an intern you really have to go searching for work instead of just getting work handed to you. Not exactly a con, but make sure to be a self-starter because it will be appreciated!

Pros

Wonderful co-workers at the entry and mid-level.

Cons

There are some wonderful mid-level managers and entry level staff, but the leadership team is hypocritical, incompetent, and despite touting their social justice values, has actively mistreated and retaliated against staff with marginalized identities. Few opportunities for upward mobility.
