Pros

I cannot say enough good things about The Seed Program and Julie! Amazing program that takes a child-first approach to care - extremely ethical and compassionate. Works with kids and families to understand what they would like to work on and makes it happen. This is the first place I have ever discussed a treatment plan with the child I am working with, asking if the things we are working on are things they would like to learn and asking them if there is anything they would like help with that we aren't teaching yet. Here we listen to feedback and then make changes! If a child doesn't like their BIP, we will come up with a solution together. A very positive place for children, families, and staff. Julie is constantly offering professional development opportunities for all of her staff. Sometimes this means sending staff to a conference or bringing in PECS professionals to train the staff (RBTs are included in professional development opportunities!). Supervisors are very hands on and supportive - you will not see a supervisor who doesn't like to "get their hands dirty" and that is refreshing in this field. In addition Julie makes sure the staff is always staying up to date on the newest promising research and offers an environment that fosters leadership. We focus on fun, meaningful activities for the kids. Staff can choose to take on additional responsibilities or stick with their base responsibilities (and not looked down upon for either decision). Julie does a great job managing her staff and wants each staff to feel valued by they way they are treated and by their compensation. Again, CANNOT say enough good things!

Cons

Not many cons. Benefits are GREAT, but pricy. No 401k.
