Pros
I feel lucky to work at a company where every day I get to make a difference in the lives of LGBTQ youth. There's a lot of purpose in the work that we do every day. There's a lot of growth at Trevor and it means a lot to me to see the focus on trying to be there for every trans and queer kid that is in pain. The programming is growing everywhere, from crisis services to advocacy to research to Trevorspace. I'm also really grateful for the money for professional development and the upcoming wellness week. The people here are also so inspiring. They impress me so much and make this a great place to work. Oh, and I am so relieved by our work from home policy and that there is such an emphasis on employee safety while so many of my friends have to go back into an office even with Delta spreading so quickly.
Cons
No major ones. It can sometimes be tough to work at a suicide prevention organization because of the heavy content, but I feel more supported here than any other place I've been.
